I have taught all levels from kindergarten to adult continuing education. I love languages and am constantly working on improving and adding to them. I believe that if students have fun, they will learn faster and remember longer. I try to have students speak in the target language as much as possible during the limited time that they are in class.

Covers irregular verbs: dire, lire, écrire, prendre, apprendre, comprendre, boire, devoir, pouvoir and vouloir. Print on cardstock and cut into cards. Make 1 set for every 3-4 students. Set of 16 cards form a 4 by 4 grid, similar to dominoes, but in all directions. Adjacent cards must have subject / verb agreement. Corresponds to Discovering French Nouveau Bleu unit 8, but may be used with any text.

Print on cardstock and laminate to last for years to come. Make 1 board for every 2-4 students. You will need 1 die per game and 1 token for each player. All tokens start off of the board. Students take turns rolling the die to advance. If the student lands on a green ladder, he/she goes to the top of the ladder. If the student lands on a red slide, he/she goes to the bottom of the slide. When landing on a number, the student must identify the body part in the target language. If wrong, student goes back to original square and loses his/her turn. PowerPoint game (4 slides) that works on developing memory and food vocabulary. 1 slide has general food items and 1 has fruits and vegetables. Food (25 pieces) enter one at a time (click to advance) and disappear behind the picnic basket. At the beginning of each round student says “Jestem głodny! Idę zjeść” (text is permanently on screen) and mention food. Round 2: mention 1st, then 2nd item. Round 3: 1st, 2nd, 3rd, etc. Can be played individually, with partners or teams. Winner can correctly recall all 25 items IN ORDER. Page 3 has 10 breakfast items. Page 4 has 10 lunch items.
